Tumbleweed for the Cat

She ain't no common barn cat.  She found herself a catnip mouse that revealed itself whiles I was cleanin' the Homestead, preparing for Sandy.  So, I refilled it with fresh catnip.

Cat needs a bit o' tumbleweed to weather Sandy, too.

Them eyeballs is all a' bulgin'!

Ollie gets all tangle footed* when she’s indulgin’ in the nip.

Crazy face.

One cat post is mandatory for MoFo.  Here's my cat post from last year.

We'll see how Sandy treats us, and hopefully The Sheriff'll see ya'll for at least one more post!

Homesteadin' it October 1st through October 31st, 2012

*tangle footed or tangle legged=drunk & stumbling

    1. Ollie (nickname for Olive, her eyes are olive green!) was a rescue from Philly's Morris Animal Shelter way back in 2001.

      She comes highly recommended. :-)

      XOXO

  2. I love watching cats going crazypuss on nip! Unfortunately, my cats don't seem to react to it. My conclusion is they've found some harder stuff LOL.

    1. RE: Sandy, the Homestead held up just fine! Got mighty lucky!

"Two of every three kitties go ga-ga for catnip!" I love it. Could use it to market 'nip!

      XOXO

  4. I was going to wish you well during Sandy, but it sounds like you're okay!

I'm more of a dog person than a cat person, but I always wish there were a doggie equivalent of catnip...!

    1. Yes, the Homestead was spared in the storm, thank goodness! But, there's terrible damage all throughout NJ, our schools are still closed, power lines are down, trees down, homes damaged or destroyed, etc. The shore communities were devastated, including the town where we summered.

It was a terrible, terrible storm...who knows how long it will take to repair/replace/restore the damage, lives, properties of all those affected.

      XOXO

    2. There is! A new tennis ball! Or a treat! Or making an excited face! Or coming home from work!!

I love cats, too, but my dog is the epitome of enthusiasm. In the history of the world, no one has ever been happy to see anyone, and she's that excited every. single. day. lol
